April 6th, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By Nic Haffner It has been said that the most rewarding career one can embark upon is one which serves the people. For the thousands of people who graduate each year with a degree in social work related fields they dedicate their lives to helping those who are less fortunate or need assistance in times of needs. When it comes to choosing a college to earn a degree in this field there are certain schools that stand out and truly deserve to be called the best. Whether your pursue your degree in a local community college, University or through online education there are certain criteria you are undoubtedly looking for to make sure the school you choose is the best for your field. Some of the things that you should look for when making a decision include: What type of programs do they offer in the social sciences? Are they recognized by any national or world-wide institutes or organizations that deal with public service? How have they earned accreditation in this field? No doubt as you begin your search these questions and many others are going to be part of a comprehensive list you develop to help you in choosing the appropriate educational institution. As you explore your options don’t forget to also check with local and state agencies that provide services to the public in your field to ask them if they can recommend higher education choices. Many times these organizations are thrilled to help someone who wants to pursue this type of work and can not only recommend schools but also help mentor you as you pursue your degree. Often these types of mentoring relationships can lead to full-time employment after graduation. How to Grieve a Tragedy

April 5th, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By Stephen Bucaro Bad things happen to good people. Have you lost your job or are facing bankruptcy? Has a cherished relationship ended or you have gone through a divorce? Maybe you received diagnosis of a serious health problem. Or maybe you are mourning the loss of a loved one. Unfortunately, these painful events are part of life. If you have to endure such a tragedy, maybe you can find solace in your friends and in your faith. There is no way to completely avoid the pain of a tragic event, but I offer you a way to work through the pain. If a friend or loved one is grieving, you can pass this message on to them. Your should deal with the grief in three phases. You should carry on each phase for exactly 21 days before moving on to the next phase. Why 21 days? Because studies have shown that if an individual does the same thing for 21 consecutive days, it becomes a habit. That is the amount of time required to make a permanent life change. Phase 1: Don’t think about the event that is causing your grief. You may be forced to think about it in some way in order to take care of business related to the event. But otherwise don’t think about it for the first 21 days. If the event comes to mind, think to yourself “I don’t want to think about this right now”, and dismiss the thought from your mind. Every time the tragic event enters your mind, think “I don’t want to think about this right now”, and force yourself to think about something else. Usually friends and family will not be a problem because they will avoid bringing up the subject. For the first 21 days, keep pushing thoughts of the event out of your mind. Eventually you will need to mourn, it’s unavoidable. In Phase 2, you should think of nothing but the tragic event. How can this help? Even though you forcefully prevented the event from entering your conscious thoughts for the first 21 days, your subconscious mind was grieving. Now you need to deal with it on a conscious level. You will be able to grieve with less pain now because your subconscious mind has already dealt with it. You can’t put the tragedy behind you unless you deal with it on a conscious level. For the next 21 days, force yourself to focus on the tragic event. If the tragedy is a broken relationship, think about the life you could have had if things worked out the way you dreamed. If the tragedy is the death of a loved one, think about the moments of your lives together. Focus entirely on how much that individual meant to you. Phase 3: It’s time to move forward. For the next 21 days, think only of your future life and changes you will need to make. Plan your new life. What changes do you need to make to carry on under your new circumstances? Unfortunately, painful events are part of life. Bad things happen, but life moves on. My plan doesn’t let you totally avoid the grief of a tragedy, and not letting yourself grieve would not be healthy anyway. I promise you, no matter what the loss, in the end, the human spirit will always survive. My little brother and I were very close. Our life as children was not easy because of anabusive mother. We slept on a bunk bead in the same room. We spent our days making paperarmy tanks and paper airplanes and playing army on the floor in that bedroom. When I was in my 20’s, my little brother was hit by a car while riding his motor cycle. He was placed on a life-support machine and they put his limbs back together with metalrods. He had very little brain activity. My father asked me “when we should take himoff the life-support machine?” My little brother and I were very close. After his death, I asked myself, why am I stillalive? I should be dead too. I felt like my right arm had been ripped off. Over the nextyear I experienced every kind of physical malady you can think of, from hemorrhoids tosevere back pain. I was a physical and mental wreck. One sunny summer day while I was sitting by the lake behind my house, I felt a warm breezeon my face and I felt sad because my little brother could no longer experience a warm summerbreeze. Then my little brother spoke to me. Not out loud, but through thought. He told me that he did still exist, like a spirit, and that he would be watching over me.He told me that I should not be sitting there morning his death, because he would livethrough me. My little brother never graduated high school. He told me to go to college,be successful, and experience life for both of us. I did go to college, earned a bachelors degree in computer science, and became the managerof an engineering department. I like to hike in the mountain park behind my house andin beautiful natural places like the Grand Canyon. While hiking and enjoying the beautyof earth, I sense my little brother looking out through my eyes, and feeling the warmsummer breeze through my skin. Think about the loved one you lost. Would they want you to spend your life morning theirdeath, or would they tell you to enjoy life while you still have it? Its okay to rememberthem, but when you do, ask yourself what would they want you to be doing. Would they wantyou to spend your days in sadness, or they would want you to move on and enjoy life? Whoknows, maybe they still exist and are still enjoying life - through you. About The Author Copyright(C)2002 Bucaro TecHelp. May Gardening Tips for the Southwest

April 2nd, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By Paul Guzman Use Cypress mulch to help keep roots insulated from the HOT sun. This helps keep moisture in the root zone as well as the keeping weeds down to a minimum. Lantana, red bird of paradise, Oleander, and other winter damaged plants may be emerging at this time. Do NOT remove them prematurely. These plants will emerge if watered occasionally during winter. Crape Myrtle will begin to show flower buds at this time and will need regular watering when flowers begin to develop. They like fertilizing and resist “leaf burn” if given a soil acidifying product such as Ironite in conjuction with a regular fertilizer. Remove faded flower tips reguarly. Planting during this month is still successfull. The Vitex, oleander, crape myrtle, roses, bird of paradise, texas sage, butterfuly bush, red yucca and most “xeriscaping” plants will thrive when planted during this month. Be sure to water thoroughly when first planted. Trees will also fall into this category. Just follow the directions as noted above. All ash, mesquite, desert willow (timeless beauty is a new variety), Chitalpa, Palo Verde, Live Oak, Chinese Pitache, and many more. Be sure to fertilize your lawn, shrubs, tress, and bedding plants regulary to take advantage of your watering schedule. Overwatering will NOT help “Green up” plants. Overwatering can lead to chlorotic plants or excessive yellowing or Root Rot. Fertilizing reguarly as needed takes advantage of water your are applying. IT also keeps blooming plants blooming longer and resists insect and or diseases. Fertilize Mexican Elders during this time of the year. This will help before it goes into the summer dormancy. Use a good all purpose fetilizer such as 16-8-8 with iron and sulphur. It can also be used on other trees, shrubs and lawns. It is best to use a Slow Release Formula To Fertilize All Deciduous Trees. Edinburgh Stag Do Ideas

March 31st, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By Brett Daneilson While most folk will take any excuse for a party, there are some party reasons that have stood the test of time. Take the stag do, for example. It’s been around since at least early Greek times when the lads of Sparta saw to it that their about-to-be-married chums got a send-off that was worthy of Zeus. Today, stag parties have come a long way, but the idea is still the same - one last fling for the happy fellow before he puts on the ball and chain for life. While many folks are heading off to the continent for a stag weekend, there are some excellent reasons for choosing a city closer to home. You might, for instance, choose to do a stag weekend in Edinburgh, where you’ll have your choice of dozens of daytime activities and the same wide variety of nighttime fun to send your mate off to the altar in style. Here are just a few of the things that you might include in your Edinburgh stag do. Daytime Edinburgh Stag Weekend Fun A stag weekend in Edinburgh can accommodate the tastes of any group from the active to the scholarly. Few other cities offer a range of activities as wide as the traditional Scots city. From kayaking to orienteering, from Five a Side to quad runners there’s plenty of choice for a day of getting physical to gear up for the night. For the truly adventurous, there’s canyoning - the art of hurtling down a canyon flume with nothing but a wetsuit to protect you from the rocks below. Is there a more appropriate metaphor for the new life your guest of honor is about to enter? Edinburgh Stag Weekend by Night They say laughter can cure almost anything - and Edinburgh’s The Stand Comedy Club is sure to put that to proof. The popular club is often standing room only, so if you want to laugh yourself silly at up to five world class comedy acts in one night, you’d do best to get your tickets early. If clubbing is your thing, you won’t even have to leave The Stand - when the comedy’s done, a DJ takes the stage and the club transforms into one of the hottest nightclubs in the city. Just a Little Bit Of Naughty Stag Night Hijinks If you’re of a mind that no stag do is complete without a pretty girl shedding her clothing and giving the soon-to-be husband a wiggle and tweak, then you’ll want a tour of the clubs that hits Bottoms Up, the Fantasy Palace and Big Daddy O’s. The girls are first rate - but again, the clubs can be busy on a weekend night. If you’re only in town for a stag weekend in Edinburgh, you’ll do well to set up a tour in advance with a UK tour operator who can assure you tickets and entry. Brett Danielson works for http://www.chillisauce.co.uk, a tour operator specialising in unique and unusual stag weekends and stag parties to UK and European cities. How To Effectively Manage An Outbreak Of Blackspot In Your Rose Garden

March 29th, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By Gregg Hall If you have a rose garden, sooner or later you will have to deal with an outbreak of blackspot. Blackspot is a common fungal disease that affects roses. It is caused by the fungus Diplocarpon rosae. When you notice a case of blackspot coming on, you must act as soon as possible. If you don’t your rose will produce fewer blossoms, and even run a risk of not over wintering. It is very easy to spot blackspot when it is in its later stages, but if you keep a sharp eye out you might be able to find an outbreak in its earlier stages. The first sign that you will see are the tell-tale black spots that form on the leaves of the bush. It is from these spots that the disease gets its name. As blackspot infects a rose bush, yellow rings grow around the original black spots, which start to spread to the underside of the leaves. The symptoms will increase and soon the entire leaf will yellow and wither, before falling off completely. Blackspot is a fungal growth, and so it will spread from bush to bush. If you leave it untreated it can infect your entire garden. It will over winter in the fallen leaves, and on canes that it previously infected. Because it is a fungus, blackspot thrives under warm and moist conditions. The only way to keep blackspot from taking over is to take good care of your roses. Dispose of the leaves that provide shelter for blackspot. Cut off infected limbs and canes from the rose bushes. To treat an outbreak, buy sulphur and fungicidal soap in spring before your roses produce leaves. Spray both onto all affected plants. The fungicidal soap will kill living blackspot, and the sulphur keeps its spores from sticking to the plant. It is important that you keep reapplying sulphur with every rain, because water washes it off. Blackspot cannot germinate if the rose bush is not damp. So do your best to keep your bushes’ leaves from getting wet. Don’t spray the leaves when you water, or better yet, use a sprinkler hose. Water only early in the day so there will be plenty of sun to dry out the water throughout the day. Keep all your bushes well pruned so that air can circulate around the leaves. Finally, if you come across a rose that displays the signs of a blackspot outbreak, don’t hesitate! Prune it immediately. And don’t throw the leaves onto your compost pile, but into the trash. Composting will not kill the fungus. Then apply your sulphur. With a little be of care, your roses will look stunning, and blackspot will be easily overcome. Do You Look Friendly? Take These Quizzes

March 26th, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By CD Mohatta Most of us visit gardens. Many times, we see the gardener working. How many of compliment and stop by the Gardner to ask about his life? We visit museums. Do we bother to meet the Administrator and congratulate for the good work being done by him/her? We come across many people in our life such as milkman, sales persons etc., but we never try to connect with them as human beings. We are always in a hurry to finish whatever it is and move. Does this attitude connect us with people? Does it make us happy? With little change in our approach, we can become very friendly persons and get happiness as a reward. Ask a cabbie driver about his/her life and you will wonder about the kinds of problems these persons face. Our own problems will begin looking small. But we are always occupied. We have no time. If you have lot many problems and find life tough, try this. Enter cancer ward of your nearby hospital. Meet some patients and talk to them. It will give you a new insight about life and the struggles. Reach out to people and be friends with them. Share your life with them and listen to their stories. You will be amazed at life. We forget that our world does not consist of only our family, friends, our work place and ourselves. Our world has many more people. The only difference is that we can ignore them. But that does not make us better human beings. We become better by connecting with people who have no work with us. That kind of relationship is totally selfless, pure and beautiful. How does this attitude help? By acting friendly, we get happiness. We give happiness to others. We have no ulterior motive except giving happiness, and that makes us feel very good. That connects us with others as human beings. Do you know about your friendliness? Try quizzes on friendship to find out about that. Emotions, Thoughts and Acidity

March 24th, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By Christopher Walker Acid in the blood is called oxidation. Oxidation exhausts you, depresses you, saddens you, weakens your immune system, causes arthritis, creates dark moods, reactiveness and violent feelings. Anger and resentment are the result of oxidation in the blood. There are so many anti oxidants available. Those are sold in pharmacies, health food shops and natural therapies practitioners. These include; herbal medicines, teas, Chinese medicines, ayurvedic medicines, acupuncture and yoga, to name a few. But if your thinking is all screwed up. Then acid is going to be produced as you are taking the pill or walking out of the acupuncture clinic. Can you see, the foolishness of separating the mind and the body in healing? If you walk around thinking acidic, then treating the body only, is just a money spinner for the practitioner. Most people dont want their mind treated. They walk around thinking they are right and that their body is reacting to their ex husband or the city. So they change jobs, meditate, become Buddhist or do something in order to be different. But underneath all that healing, acid continues to be produced. Stress causes acid. Emotion causes acid. If you are stressed or emotional allot, you will need a mountain of therapies and time in retreat to recover. And the recovery will be short, if you go back to being emotional and stressed. Its all in your head, but acid is all in your body. It builds up in knees and spines, and muscles, and wrinkles, and lungs and kidneys and feet and hands. Then what? Acid is, for the greater part, irreversible. Acid build up attaches to bone and calcium. Then calcium deposits in cells. Those deposits we call scar tissue, arthritis, depression, heart blockage, cholesterol, dementia, asthma, cancer and the list goes on. Acid builds and attacks our cells. Why? In nature anything that is not fulfilling its purpose, gets recycled. Easy. A tree stops producing oxygen, its function is inefficient, nature takes it, recycles its minerals, and grows a new tree, smarter, smaller and more efficient. This is evolution. Well, same with you. Blocked evolution is witnessed by acid. Acidic people are achieving everything on the ego plane, but zero in the true measure of natures law. A stressed executive making millions of dollars is, in natures estimate, like the tree. Still there, but not producing. That persons body decays through acidity, they get recycled. Sometimes we measure the value of our lives poorly dont we? We measure our worth in production. Hours, days, years spent pedalling the machines. Making money. Building reputations. Nature measures it differently. She measures your value in acid. Too much acid, this person is wasting natures resources. Pain and discomfort will be the warning. Death, emotionally, physically or spiritually will be the ultimate price. Acidic Work the norm There are many men, and an increasing number of women who believe that unless they are struggling with their work, unless their business life is mindlessly intense, un-enjoyable, they are not doing their job. When I make the suggestion to clients that work can be enjoyable, that tiredness is a sign of bad work practices, they look at me in disbelief like I am from outer space. But I have met many people who have a wonderful, kind and joyful disposition in their work. These people are not acidic, nor do they need to waste valuable time running off to health spas to recover from bad practices. You see; We put our energy into everything we do. What we do today causes tomorrow. The reason is, that our thoughts today produce the chemicals that are running around in our body tomorrow. If you are tired, you are acidic. If you are frustrated, theres more acid. And if yesterday, you overexercised, drank too much alcohol, coffee and too little alkalising water (not plain water) and didnt get good quality sleep, and ate chocolate before bed, and a big steak hours before that. You have predetermined the quality of your mood, productivity and emotion by what you did yesterday. WE blame today. WE say they annoyed me but really, under normal non acidic circumstances you probably would have handled that fine. Acid comes from yesterday. Poor recovery, acidic thinking, poor diet and lack of alkalising balance. Rather than run around treating todays problems, which we caused by yesterdays behaviour, diet, attitude and unawareness, surely the wiser process is to make sure that we act today in a way that will make tomorrow, great. (not acidic) It all begins with the way you think There was a book called the art of positive thinking. It should have been called the art of acidity Positive does not go unpunished, just as we know negative does not go unpunished. Positive thinking always creates its nemesis, negativity. WE have learned in business that being positive is really important. Showing clients the benefit of products is a sales skill, that guarantees client interest. Show them the positive, and they will buy. So, wheres the negative? The answer is either within ourselves (self critical) or at home with the family. All one sided thoughts create acid. Extreme judgements, whether justified by a religion, culture, group or philosophy cause acid. Peaceful thoughts are as acidic and violent thoughts if they are extreme. A person who hates war and loves peace will become acidic. A person who hates peace and loves war will become acidic. The more extreme your emotion, the more acid. Extreme high, high emotion, high thoughts, high pumped up, the more acid. Extreme sexy, extremely looking forward to some thing, extremely rejecting, extremely attracted. Some emotions and thoughts produce more acid than others. We call them low thoughts, but they are not morally low, the are low in consciousness, like an animal. These low thoughts and emotions simply produce huge quantities of adrenalin and therefore acidify, exhaust and age us. Do you know what those low thoughts and emotions are? It is very easy to find them. Look at the 10 commandments of Christianity, the Yama and Niyama of Hindu practices, The Dharma of the Buddha, the teachings of Mohamed, Moses, Jesus, Buddha, Krishna. They are all the same, in different languages. Basically they suggest you avoid, grow out of or transform low thoughts and emotions. Evolve they cry. But we rarely do. We sacrifice this wisdom in order to feed our ego, self esteem. The Value of Time Self Esteem or Self Worth Acid versus Alkaline If someone says to you value your time what would you say, that is? Some of us would sit down and meditate, others would rush off to work, some would go home and play with the children. Yet, others would go shopping for a new pair of boots. Some would rescue people, some would spend their time imitating another religious leader. But really, if you want to know how people value their time. Just watch their normal day. What time do they get up? What do they spend their life doing, and why? How much effort do they put into that which they are born good at, versus that which makes them wealthy? You do not need to ask people about the value of their time, you can see it. Is my mantra Make every moment count a call to be more busy, make more love, be more intense, achieve more? What does it mean to make every moment count? Everybody has their own version of this truth. Make every moment count. Some read books and talk about being in the moment, but are they are mistaken, mimicking another myth, have they really been able to be in the moment. Which moment and when is/was it. And what about the future, doesnt that matter? How can they think about others if they are in the moment? All they know is themselves, in the moment. Acid is caused by thoughts. Thoughts are caused by reactions to life. Our reactions to life are cause by our beliefs. If I believe death is just a change of state, then my reaction to death are different to yours. What causes one person acid, does not even affect another person. What we think, how we interpret the world is the criteria that ultimately determines the length, quality, happiness and intimacy of our life. Acidity is the barometer of our delusion. The Ultimate choice We make choices all day. And those choices are our truth. They reflect how we value time, and time as a mirror of self. We cannot measure self worth, it is hidden in our unconscious awareness. WE can only measure the way we act, and from that, interpret the light from which this shadow is cast. Self worth is hidden, but the result of it, can be clearly observed, in the way we value our time. Then if self worth is the fulcrum of a balance scale, marking the centre, then self esteem are the ends of that scale. Emotional uppers, and downers, self esteem, measured on how we feel, a counterbalance we are unaware of, up, the down, we rarely observe the connection. Self esteem is vastly different to self worth. You cannot measure self esteem by the valuation of time, because self esteem is seeking, it may be imitating a book, emulating a teacher, following some rules, and therefore, on a temporary high. Unsustainable fashions leads people to mark their self esteem as their true self, and suffer the bitterment of the consequences. A person who values their self esteem, will imitate, emulate, fake it till they make it. Self esteem is therefore the opinion we have of ourselves, or want to have of ourselves. WE measure self esteem, not by the value of time but in material terms, success, achievement, emotion, attachment and abundance. Self esteem is the appetite of the ego. Self esteem needs to feel right, good, correct, intuitively inspired by activity. Self esteem needs to feel good in order for it to survive. Self esteem is a marvellous motivator. If we desire to feel good, our self esteem (ego) is demanding attention. It therefore motivates me into some sort of action depending on what we describe as feel good. Advertising agencies know this and promote products and their benefits. The benefit always appeals to some part of your self esteem being raised. Self Esteem creates acid Self esteem is the search to value who we are based on how we feel about ourselves. If someone makes us feel good about myself, then our self esteem goes up, and we say we like them. The better they make us feel, the more we love them. There are many ways to build self esteem. Greed, possession, blame, victim, power, self importance, righteousness, hate, anger, resentment. You can see, that most of these cause acidity. This is why, in spirituality at least, self worth is heralded over self esteem. So, the desire for high self esteem makes people addicted to feeling good, like: peace, being liked, approved of, admired, pursued, pleasured, succeeding, applauded, wanted, desired, God, spirituality, money, drugs, lovers, self; But is it real? I think that when you are really facing the end of all your moments, I think, that youd know what to do with them. I doubt that youd seek self esteem! I doubt youd hold back love. I doubt that youd judge and criticize, or worry and work on low priorities. To say I learned from the past is foolish. What we mean is I wasted time in the past, and now I know it. Intimacy is the perfect anti dote to acidity If our ego fell away, and we were left naked, spiritually raw, we would have intimacy. Intimacy is where we meet without emotion or thought. Intimacy is where we collide, accidentally meet when self esteem, and all our trying to be and not be, just doesnt matter. Intimacy are those moments when we actually turn up we arrive and, by absolute mistake, we are able to meet. When you are playing with your child, not even trying to make it a good play, or a bad one, not trying to stop trying or trying to not try to try. You are so there, there is no there. Then this is intimacy. There is no acid in intimacy. We are not emotional in this moment because there is no awareness of time. We are not afraid of the future, or guilty about the past. We are here. And by accident we turn up, without expectation, we arrive. Sometimes we meet over and over with one person. We call this intimacy a relationship. Sometimes that relationship lasts a few weeks or a few years, or even a few decades. Intimacy comes and we are there. Intimacy goes and we are not. Intimacy lengthens our life. Lack of intimacy acidifies our life. Wanting is acidic, striving is acidic. Turning up is not acidic. When we exercise or work we can do so without making much acid, if we know how to be intimate with our exercise or work. Then, we are not worried or striving, or stressed, or panicking. We are enjoying. Making the best of it. Many people are in relationships without intimacy. But this is nice for them because their self esteem gets boosted by being in certain relationships. The kids get looked after and the bills are paid. These are very nice reasons for some relationships. We shouldnt condemn it, especially if we are single. But this is very acidic and arthritis, gout, body aches, liver, kidney and many bladder problems will come about. When we do not have intimacy, when we are working and living to boost our self esteem (feel good) this to nature is the biggest waste of time. Nature values her time, she simply will not compromise. Depression is another of natures ways of dealing with acidity. In Buddhist teaching, intimacy is defined as Loving Kindness. It is the closest description that they can find to intimacy, natures intent. In the Bible it speaks of love, love thy neighbour, and there are Hindu references to humility and great compassion (care without rescue) We cannot teach intimacy to you. That is one thing no one can teach you. Intimacy is when you appreciate things as they are, you see the beauty in things and people as they are. Intimacy is the antidote to acidity. A person who is controlling, aggressive and manipulative, cannot know intimacy other than sex. And this is the shallowest taste of the true depth to which nature offers to take you. Let nature be your guide. We are not here to repair acidity through herbs and spices. We are here to live as nature intended, with intimacy, loving kindness, a generosity of spirit. Here, all foods and toxin evaporate and a beautiful health is sustained. With Spirit Chris Walker is a world leading change agent, an environmentalist and author of more than 20 books. The Common Secret for Success in Both Markets

March 22nd, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By Daniel Wadleigh There are two distinctly different markets. Oddly enough, both markets need the exact same marketing process to work. As elsewhere described, the first market is the selling of commodities, either as products or services; commodities meaning a known value, i.e. a commonly accepted result. For example, a $.69 can of green beans and a $4.95 car wash represent expected results. The second market is, obviously, products and/or services with either an unknown result and/or an unknown price. (Result + price = value) Interestingly, both markets compel the same 3 components to produce acceptable results. They are 1) make the big promise, 2) document your claims, and 3) make the irresistible and/or risk-free offer. In the marketing of commodities, you need to add value in order to cause the desired response, “I’d be nuts not to buy from these guys.” In order to get that response, it isn’t enough to say “You’ll save money” or “You’ve tried the rest, now try the best.” You have one shot to convince them that they’ll really save money (which is 1 - the big promise). So, you’ll have to prove that it’s for real; i.e. who says so besides you and your brother-in-law? Again, inspiring the action is helped by the irresistible offer, hopefully “risk-free.” Without dwelling too long on the mechanics of those three critical components as elsewhere covered, the point is, for the “non-commodity” market, you have to do the exact same process, for the exact same reasons. You need to tell them how your product/service will either enhance their lives or reduce a risk/problem (The Big Promise); you need to document your claims (prove it) because it is not yet an accepted (known) product or value. Again, 3- the irresistible offer helps people to act. However, by adding value to commodities, it actually no longer is a commodity because it’s no longer apples to apples. You have to prove that your added value is for real. If it’s apples to apples, you’re in a “me too” competitive position and are subject to the risk of losing market share if competitors add value! The advantage with a “new market development” is, assuming that you use the three-part formula and make it work, it’s not so price sensitive because of less competition and less demand to start with. There are thus two marketing approaches: 1) Give them what they already want, with added value, and 2) Make them want what you have, when you want them to buy. This approach becomes a great fill-in market, even if you’re also selling commodities. You’re out of control over commodities, but, it pays the rent and gets them to come in. Non-commodities then can be structured to be sold in slow season to fill in, or, can be piled on top of commodities as extra income and added value to get commodity customers to come to you in the first place. Goal #1 is “Break even.” Goal #2 is “Fill in the Gaps.” Goal #3 is “Fine tune Profits.” With either “commodities” or “new market development”, if you use “added perceived values”, you can “get your price”, and, that’s Profit Controlled Marketing. March 22nd, 2008 by antonphuochendriks

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alice_Erin]Alice Erin A bundle of ‘top of the line’ features in a highly fashionable outfit thats Nokia 7390 in one line. Owing to its relation with the highly fashionable L’Amour collection, the Nokia 7390 is an eye-candy. The clamshell sports the iconic curves and design elements that separates the ethnic and traditionally inclined L’Amour handset from the clutter of the ‘futuristic’ designs. The external TFT screen with 262k vibrant colours is one of the best in business but do not compare well with the brilliant 16 million colour deliverable, primary QVGA display. Its weight of 115 gm and smaller dimension makes it very easy to carry in any pocket. The Nokia 7390 is available in two colour solutions bronze black and powder pink, each has a distinct personality of its own. One of the compelling feature of the Nokia 7390 is its 3.0 megapixel camera. The high resolution camera module is well complimented by digital zoom, flash and most importantly, autofocus. These features goes a long way in capturing any moments of your life with actual colours and great details, irrespective of unfavorable shooting environments. Just like any other cameras, video recording is supported too, but in higher resolution. The Nokia 7390 has a secondary VGA camera module for video calling. The 3G technology of the Nokia 7390 allows it to make video calls across WCDMA networks. High speed mobile Internet is also possible within 3G network with the Nokia 7390. You can also opt for a ’slower’ speed of around 236 kbps with EDGE and GPRS in case 3G connectivity is absent. Audio file formats like MP3, AAC, eAAC+, M4A and videos in 3GPP, H.263 and MPEG4 formats coul be played on the integrated media player of the Nokia 7390 . You can also stream in Videos with its high data transfer speeds. Other than available internal memory of about 21 Mb, up to 2GB of external memory card is supported.
