How To Get Banks To Say Yes Over And Over Again Each Time You Ask Them For Money

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ugo_Okonkwo]Ugo Okonkwo For Gods Sake! Look at them all! Everyone is busy running around like a headless chicken trying to get-rich-quick. Make a fast buck from the latest craze and then move on to the next big thing. Heres a tip from me for free. Find one thing that works and STICK TO IT. The simplest and easiest is probably real estate. If youre serious about making big money and you truly want to retire sooner rather than later then start here. Save the pennies and re-invest. In other articles, I gave sure-fire tips on how to get started the easy way. I will now talk about how to continue growing. How to continue building your empire once youve started. The secret to winning against any financial lending institution (as is the secret to winning any battle) is to know your enemy. Know this: banks want to lend you money. In fact, they will bend over backwards to lend you money. But (important) only if they think that you are a safe bet. They will always do a credit check on you. If you fail this check, youve no hope of getting the best possible deal from the lender. Expect to be offered extortionate interest rates and to be treated with no mercy should you even think of defaulting on half a re-payment. In case you dont know, any money that you have ever borrowed, e.g., a credit card, store cards, mortgages, car loans etc are kept securely on record. This is your credit file and the information is collected and updated very, very regularly whether you like it or not. If you absconded four years ago and did not settle that 12.50 parking ticket, it will be on your credit file. The credit check will reveal all. So, put the odds in your favour. Get a copy of your credit report, read it and correct any errors or mistakes by contacting the CRA (Credit Reference Agency) involved. Be up-to-date with all bill payments. Lenders do not like to see maxed-out credit cards on you credit report so leave a third of the limit available to spend. After youve perfected your credit report. Fill in those forms and start applying for mortgages and watch lenders fall over themselves to be of service to you. Double Your Crops

Monday, May 26th, 2008

By Linda Gray Is there too much digging and not enough harvesting going on in your garden? Try these ideas to make your garden work harder for you without breaking a sweat! Rotation: When one crop comes out of the ground, quickly turn the earth and plant something else straight away. This could be late summer lettuce or over-wintering salad varieties. Some beans can be successfully planted in the autumn, in particular broad beans, along with late cropping cauliflowers and other brassicas. Make small cloches to protect the young plants from autumn weather. Cut a clear plastic bottle in half to produce two min-cloches! What you plant as a second crop will depend heavily on your region, climate and availability of seed. However, when this crop comes out in the Spring, there will be far less weeds than if you had left the patch fallow all winter. Don’t do this every year as the earth will need feeding and resting, but even a small garden can be divided into rotatable patches, and if you get double your crops from one space, you won’t need the extra space every year. Pile on as much green manure as you can and keep your fallow patch weed free. Companions: Plant your crops close together so those pesky weeds don’t get a chance to grow. Companion planting enables you, not only to save space in the garden and control the weeds, it will also help with pest control. A line of onions next to a line of carrots confuses the onion fly and the carrot fly! Plant your good companion plants close together but avoid putting large crops of the same species too close. Plant a tomato plant here and there round the garden, then if one plant gets a disease, it doesn’t easily spread to the other plants. The same with cabbages. The cabbage white butterfly, dreaded enemy of brassica growers everywhere, won’t be so attracted to your garden if the cabbages aren’t neatly planted in rows. Raised Beds: Not only good for controlling the weeds and saving space for those extra crops, but also great for controlling aching backs! The raised bed system in principal means you don’t walk on your beds, and therefore they should be no wider than a couple of metres, preferably less. You need to be able to reach everywhere on the bed without stepping onto the soil at all.Once dug, fill with your plants and hoe regularly. When your first crop is harvested fork over the soil lightly. It shouldn’t need any heavy digging again for some years. Permanent Patches: Keep permanent patches in your garden. A small herb patch or corner in your vegetable garden will attract bees and also give you and your family lots of new tastes, natural medicines and even cosmetic preparations. Herbs will establish themselves fairly quickly and will thrive with regular picking. You honestly won’t know what to do with all those wonderful fresh herbs, that would otherwise cost you a fortune in the supermarket. Another great permanent patch to create is asparagus. Most new gardeners are put off growing this wonderful vegetable because of all sorts of crazy reasons. I’ve even heard it said that it’s a “luxury crop” - whatever that may mean! Asparagus is extremely good for you, is ready to pick during the ‘hungry gap’ in the vegetable garden, and best of all, with very little attention, it will produce more and more every year. Create a permanent asparagus bed and indulge in the luxury! Indulge in the healthiest hobby in the world - produce your own food and feed your family well! How to Build a Pond: Basic Considerations

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

By Dan Eskelson Those of you familiar with my writing are accustomed to raves and rants about doing things in cooperation with nature instead of fighting against her; many years of trying it both ways have convinced me that the natural way is less costly to install and maintain, is easier on our fragile natural resources - and more fun! So when I began researching water features several years ago, I was concerned with the most natural, low maintenance systems. My research unearthed numerous horror stories of thick, “pea soup” green ponds which had become nightmares to their owners. Drastic measures were taken to rid the ponds of the algae problem - extensive, sand-based filter systems and extremely expensive ultraviolet light sterilizers were used in an attempt to solve the problem. I felt that the above “solutions” were merely treating the symptoms rather than the causes…the UV light did indeed kill the algae, but also killed all the beneficial pond organisms - those that contributed to the reduction of algae - so the problem returned soon with even greater severity. I finally found a system based on cooperation with natural systems - one that was inherently low maintenance; following are several of the basic principles of this system, principles that contribute to a healthy, low maintenance water feature. One of the most important conditions to provide in the pond is a rock and gravel floor…the millions of tiny spaces created are colonized by beneficial microorganisms which break down organic waste deposited by fish and decomposing plant parts. Using rocks and gravel creates a huge biological filter, reducing maintenance for the separate filter and creating a clean, healthy environment. Rocks and gravel also: (1). provide a home for helpful aquatic insects and snails (2). protects the liner from sun and damage from larger animals (3). is more natural looking than a smooth surface (4). is not slippery like smooth surfaces (5). will hold the liner securely in place. Including aquatic plants in your pond also contributes to a healthy ecosystem; plants use the carbon dioxide and nutrients that are produced by the beneficial organisms in the gravel and in the biological filter. Without plants, there would be a nutrient overload in the pond, resulting in toxic conditions for other pond life. And yes, algae is plant life - a small amount of algae is normal, and even beneficial, to the pond ecosystem… we just don’t want the algae to get out of control. Aquatic plants also provide: (1). beauty for the pond (2). oxygen for pond animals (3). shade from intense sunlight (4). food for insects and fish (5). shelter for small pond creatures. Other factors contribute to the beauty and health of the low maintenance pond ecosystem. Colorful fish provide hours of relaxing entertainment, as well as feasting on algae, mosquito larvae and other insects. Though most pond owners feed a small amount of food to their fish, in a well-balanced pond, fish can feed themselves. It’s also important to provide an efficient skimmer to catch the larger surface debris, and a biological filter, through which the pond water is pumped. In conclusion, a healthy, clean and beautiful pond ecosystem relies on the interrelationship of all parts. Each link is important for the survival of the whole. My initial research into water features turned up a multitude of systems and options - along with a lot of conflicting ideas and advice. The systems that impress us as the most user-friendly, lowest maintenance and most compatible with nature are now produced by several manufacturers…we’ve been providing these systems to satisfied clients for over five years. Layer Your Plantings

Friday, May 9th, 2008

By Dean Novosat Part three in a series In our last article, we helped you layout your new landscape. In this article well explore which plants to put where and what makes an effective landscape. If you think of your landscape as a stage, you can easily imagine the basics of layout. On a stage, you have a nice background or backdrop in the back. The backdrop is usually large and fills your entire view. In front of the backdrop, you have some smaller items that set the scene. These may be small pieces of furniture. And then in the very front you have your actorsyour stars. They take the front and center to get the most attention. So, looking from back to front, you have your backdrop, your accent pieces, and finally your stars. Laying out a good landscape uses the same principles: we start with a backdrop in the very back, then we add some accents, then finally, our stars! The Backdrop The backdrop can be any number of things but the basic principle is that the backdrop simply serves to show off the items in front of it, and can also be used to hide things behind it. A good backdrop could be something as simple as a wall or fence, or something as elaborate as a planting of evergreens. As long as the evergreens have one common element (perhaps they have the same color or same texture), they will serve as a good backdrop. The Accents Your accent pieces are plants that help to dress the set. These work well if planted in groupings of at least three. For example, a clump of bushes off to the left of your set and a clump or flowering plants on the right. Or perhaps some clumps of grasses would serve as a good accent. The Stars Now for the stars! Taking center stage are your accents. And they dont have to be centered! As long as they are different from your backdrop and accents plants, they will become your stars. For example, an evergreen backdrop with some grasses used as an accent set up a nice monochromatic green image. Place some white flowering plants in front and they become the stars of your landscape. Because of their different color from the rest of your set, they will stand out. You can create multiple sets in your landscape. Just break up your landscape into smaller mini-scapes. As long as each area is separated by backdrops and accents, you can easily achieve a beautiful look. Dean Novosat is an avid gardener and landscaper. Little Known Secrets To Attaining Security And Certainty In Your Relationship

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

By Dr. Rob Bilton In all our interpersonal relationships it is important that there is reassurance, certainty and security. The other day, actually the other week, I had several people in my office who were not very secure in their relationship. They came in on their own. They were having difficulties in their relationship. They just didnt feel safe and secure in their relationship. They were worried that their partner may be moving away or potentially straying or not loving them in the way that they want. Here we will discuss four communication modes, the Visual, Auditory, Digital and Kinesthetic. The following is a brief overview of the four basic communication modes: (1) Visuals communicate by seeing and doing. They like activities and they like gifts. They notice people, places and things with just the slightest glance. They feel and share love by doing things with or for other people. They take things at face value and do not look deeper into things. (2) Auditory people communicate through talking. They have the natural gift of the gab, are designed to be able to talk for long periods of time. They enjoy talking and listening to other people talk. They feel loved when they are talked to, and like to hear the words I love you. (3) Digital people communicate through connection and understanding. The find the deeper meaning in everything they think, see and do. Understanding is very important to them. They feel loved when they share connections with others and are understood. (4) Kinesthetic people communicate through their bodies. The move, feel and express through their bodies. Kinesthetics love to touch, feel, physical activity and hugging. They feel loved when they are touched. If your partner is a different communication mode than you and again we can be on all four channels or three channels or just two channels and our partners can be on the same ones or different ones or part of yours and part of another. Take for example I just recently met a lovely young lady and she was a Visual, Auditory. I happened to be Visual, Auditory Kinesthetic, and Digital. So she was hitting two of my communication modes, but was not hitting the other two, in the Digital or Kinesthetic channels. She was not hitting my Communication modes so I felt empty in those areas. In the relationship I had with this young lady, she was a Visual, Kinesthetic. Again, I was a Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic and Digital. However, again her modes were different, and not the same as mine. So two of mine with this lady were missing. With this lady, my Digital and Auditory was missing. I felt very empty because there was no Auditory communication and there was no Digital or deep thoughtful or mental, emotional connection. Then, with another different lday, we would talk a lot and do things, but again I may not feel connected, intellectually, emotionally or at a deep spiritual level. I also did not feel connected Kinesthetically as much. Many of these situations are reflected in the some of the clients that come in and see me. A lot of them tend to be Digital. Digital people tend to go to counselling more than a Visual person. A Visual person would go to counseling or a Visual, Kinesthetic person would go to counselling usually because they are dragged there. However, if a Digital person is with someone who is not Digital, they really feel empty. Sure they do things together. Their partner may talk or may not, but the Digital really feels empty. Also in relationships where one partner is highly Kinesthetic and the other person isnt, the first person will feel like the other person doesnt love them, that the other person is interested in someone else because they are not having as much cuddling, kissing or sex, with them as they did when they were courting. So then if the person is Digital, they start thinking a lot, which is something that a Digital person does, which is think a lot, they then start feeling insecure. Also if you are stressed out in life, and you are Digital and Analytical you tend to get a little paranoid if you are put under stress if you are not being reassured. So in a healthy relationship, it is key that your partner is on the same channel as you, and if not, know how to work on the same channel as you and to reassure you. I spent 10 years a paramedic and 10 years as a business man, before I was a counsellor. When I was in business and as a counsellor, reassurance is very important. All professionals reassure their clients of what they are going through and that things will be o.k., that things will be taking care of. So reassurance is a good skill to develop in your partner. It is important that you really understand that it is very important if you are currently creating a Love by Design and if you are not in place where you can rebuild or restructure where are in a situation where you are in an existing relationship, your partner needs to learn, if they are not on the same page, to do that. That way you will feel reassured, that way, if you are not getting that information on that channel. You are actually going to feel insecure and if you dont get love in the way that you want for a long time, you will see the symptoms that many of our clients have that come into the office. They have low self esteem. When I was with the young lady for a while, my self esteem was dropping with her because I wasnt reassured, and I wasnt feeling loved. She didnt say I love you, she wasnt Auditory She didnt talk to me in the car, she didnt talk to me over dinner, she didnt like talking on the over phone. I just didnt feel connected. Plus she wasnt Digital, so she wasnt interested in ideas or philosophy, and concepts, and metaphysics or spirituality, and relationships and counselling and psychology and all these things. So it was really important for me to have that. If you dont get it in your relationship you tend to seek it outside your relationship. That is why people have emotional affairs and real affairs that involve sex and secret relationships and all that kind of stuff, including people on the internet and chat rooms. A Greenhouse Provides Many Advantages for Hydroponic Gardening

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

By Tony Buel Hydroponic gardening is the science of growing plants in a controlled environment without soil - free from soil borne pests and diseases. Hydroponically grown plants are raised in greenhouses under carefully monitored and controlled conditions. Gravel is normally used as the medium to support the plant’s roots within the hydroponics greenhouse. Carefully mixed nutrients are then periodically fed to the crops in liquid form - a method called sub-irrigation culture. Once seedlings are planted almost all of this work is done by automation. In these hydroponic greenhouses sensors within the gravel are used to determine when the plants need more nutrition and turn on the pumps, giving the plants the just the right amount of solution. These hydroponically grown plants are fed the exact nutrients needed for rapid growth and volume production. Some hydroponic gardeners use special tanks that are made from big drums which are cut in half. The bottom of each half is brazed with brass tubing. A hose hose is clamped to one end of the tube. The other end is attached to a similar tube which is brazed into a small can. Inside the tanks the can is painted with an asphalt based paint in order to prevent metal surfaces from rusting. The tanks are filled with small sized gravel pellets. The hydroponic gardening process starts with ‘planting the tanks’ by first starting seedlings in carefully prepared paper cups full of vermiculate to allow the hydroponic solution to enter. After the plants are started, the entire cup should be placed in the gravel. The plant’s roots are irrigated from below as the fluid flows down the hose and into the gravel. The system is set up to ensure that the crops are moist but are never flooded with solution for more than a few seconds. The advantages of hydroponic gardening in a greenhouse are numerous. When crops are grown hydroponically, crop yields are increased dramatically over conventional agriculture. For example acre of land will yield five to the tons of tomatoes. The same amount of space will yield 60 to 300 tons when grown hydroponically. A lettuce crop grown in a hydroponic greenhouse will yield an increase of 12,000 pounds over conventionally grown lettuce. Hydroponic gardening provides other advantages besides increased crop yield. The hydroponic greenhouse environment extends the growing season and doesn’t require heavy labor. And of course the obvious -there’s no need for greenhouse soil!
