Relationship: All Decked Out

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

By Julia Jones Add vigor and vitality in your relationship. Get decked up, feel good. It is a known fact that your dress up tells a lot about you. A well dressed man or woman is always looked at with some kind of admiration. You cannot deny the fact that you love it. You feel good when people look at you and give a smile of admiration. Most of the times many of you like to be admired and like to be the center of attraction. Moreover you feel good and confident from within when you are well dressed and decked up. It is generally seen that most of us do not dress up with extra care to go out apart from a party but at times you should just dress up with that extra care. You should dress up formally to make yourself feel good. For no particular reason just dress up and go out to give you and your partner a special treat in a well upscale restaurant. You could simply wear a tuxedo- jacket and matching trousers while the woman could wear a lovely gown and feel like a queen. It adds elegance to you. There is nothing wrong in adding a touch of style in your enjoyment. It only makes your relationship interesting and fascinating. You never feel bored in your relationship. Get some style in your relationship. There are different ideas to follow to be all decked up and add style in the moments you two enjoy together. If you can, rent out a luxurious car, maybe a limousine and go out to have a boll. Take champagne and enjoy it before getting in. Activities done together in such a way give you both a good feeling. Undoubtedly you enjoy yourselves. Such activities bring unexpected twist in your relationship and bring life in your relation. All of you should deck up for each other. Your partner would love to see you well dressed. There is a kind of pride in walk with a person is well dressed and pulls eyes towards him/her. You really feel good when people admire your partner. You know you have got the company of a person with whom others would love to be. At the same time you feel good about the fact that people are admiring you as you are well dressed too. Off course some envy you for your dress up and your company. Be a trend setter than a follower. Develop your own style and dress up that people would admire and ape you. You do not have to follow the fashion that is in if you are not comfortable with it but you can always having your own way of dress that looks trendy. You can design you own style of clothes that are unique. The ladies can put up make up that in not to loud but at the same time makes your face look attractive. Have different hair styles to give yourself a new look. Dress up in a way that is appealing and make everyone compliment you. Always use “hot” oils in extremely weak dilution of less than one percent for skin application. Commonly used “hot” essential oils known to have the potential to cause, skin irritation, include: basil (Ocimum basilicum), bergamot (Citrus bergamia), birch (Betula lenta), black pepper (Piper nigrum), cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), clove (Eugenia aromatica), ginger (Zingiber officinale), expressed (cold pressed from peel) oils of lime, lemon, orange and grapefruit (Citrus limetta, limonum, sinensis and paradisi), lemongrass (Cymbopogon citrates), oregano (Origanum compactum), Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris), Siberian, balsam or silver fir (Abies siberica, alba, balsamea), thyme (Thymus vulgaris), wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens) and in some cases, tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), ylang ylang (Cananga odorata) and peppermint (Mentha piperita). If any of these essential oils is applied in a dilution of carrier oil on the skin and a hot, red irritation occurs this is the result of a burn to the skin that requires immediate attention. Always have a vegetable carrier oil like Pure Light Coconut Oil or Jojoba available to apply onto the skin in such cases! Apply a carrier oil will have an immediate effect of calming the skin irritation. Do not wash or rinse the area with water as this will drive the essential oils further into the skin and increase, not diminish discomfort. Properly administered essential oils are a natural, safe and effective way to enhance your health and well-being and may produce satisfying results where other methods have failed. Please consult your health care professional about any serious disease or injury. Do not attempt to self-diagnose or prescribe any natural substances such as essential oils for serious health conditions that require professional attention. PLEASE NOTE: There are many cheap, synthetic copies of aromatic oils, but these are not recommended for therapeutic use. For best results purchase the highest quality oils you can possibly find. A Beginner’s Guide To A Basic Junk Drawer

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

By Sherry L. Asbury No home is complete without a junk drawer. Now some of you will think, useless, however, to a young person starting out a junk drawer is a lifesaver. Because of course junk drawers hold much more than junk. Living on your own for the first time, or for women who may have made a restart on their own, there are basic essentials that are great to have at hand. If you live in an apartment you may be able to handle little repairs yourself instead of waiting for maintenance to have time to make a call. Independence is important when you are on your own. Everyone should know how to do basic things such as use a screwdriver and use a hammer as something other than an implement to break party bags of ice. Being self-sufficient gives you a good feeling about yourself. Of course, know your limit. No - do not stick your screwdriver down the garbage disposal to unclog it. But here is a hint that everyone should know. Most garbage disposals have a shut off switch for safety. Before calling in the troops reach under the bottom edge and there will be a reset button. Just push it and then try the disposal again. Never, never put human fingers in the disposal, off or on! Lets start filling our junk drawer! A good hammer is a must. Dont buy the cute little dainty one it will break. Get a good hammer that fits your hand. The ones with rubber-coated handles are great for grip. Next we need screwdrivers. Again, dont go with the flower power cuties. Invest in decent tools that you can actually use. You will want two screwdrivers. One standard, and one Phillips - thats the one with the funny pointy head. Many screws in appliances are geared for a Phillips head. Also, your junk drawer should have tacks, push pins and small nails. Find out from your landlord if using nails to hang pictures is allowed. If you feel the job may be too big for you, large pictures or mirrors, then let the expert handle it. Add glue, the serious kind. A decent retractable measuring tape is a must. If you line and level before you hang pictures they will look better and so will your wall! A good wrench should be in every junk drawer. You would be surprised how handy these are when you need to loosen things. Next, a good pair of pliers. You may need to use them to crack crab if nothing else. If you feel brave and bold, add a set of needle nose pliers for those tiny areas where the big guys wont fit. Scotch tape. Packing tape. And the King of the junk drawer - Duct Tape. Learn how to use this sticky wonder without wrapping yourself in it first. Remember, if you put the sticky side down while you do something else - it will stick. . . to the sofa, the loose light bill and, oh horrors, even the cat! Use with caution, but it will fix most anything, at least temporarily. Here are a few more good things to have. At least one extra light bulb. A box of band aids, safety pins, a pencil, pen and cigarette lighter. Emergency candles are a must. Use the lighter for candles and other tasks, give your lungs a break. Dont forget twist ties and rubber bands! As you live in one place your junk drawer will grow exponentially. It will be that treasure box where you can find just about anything. Every spring go through the drawer and toss out those what is this items and tidy things up. A junk drawer is the sign of a mature person who takes their living seriously. Magnetic Therapy Can Effectively Reduce High Blood Pressure: Here Is How

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Debbie_Shimadry] Debbie Shimadry Magnetic therapy can effectively help reduce high blood pressure. Firstly, let us have a look at what is blood pressure and what leads to high blood pressure. Then, review what magnetic therapy devices can be used to lower blood pressure. What is blood pressure? The heart is a small but very powerful pump that beats steadily throughout your life, circulating five litres (more than 10 pints of blood) around the body every minute. The smaller blood vessels through which the blood passes produce a resistance to blood flow. The pumping of the heart against this resistance creates the blood pressure necessary for the circulation of the blood. This circulation is essential for nutrition of the major organs, such as the heart, kidneys, liver and brain, providing the vital oxygen and nutrients necessary for life. So, everyone needs to have a blood pressure to maintain their circulation! When the heart contracts, the highest pressure it produces is called the systolic pressure; when it relaxes, the lowest pressure is called the diastolic pressure. Both of these pressures are important in determining the risk of heart attack and stroke, so both will be measured by your doctor. A normal blood pressure in a young person might be around 130/80 (often described as 130 over 80) - this is shorthand for a systolic pressure of 130 and a diastolic pressure of 80. We start thinking blood pressure is high when it is above 160/100. Understanding high blood pressure Blood pressure is vital to life whilst high blood pressure can be a threat to it. A permanently raised blood pressure leads to an increased tendency to blood vessel damage, and blood clot formation which may result in heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. High blood pressure affects one in six of us. High blood pressure tends to run in families. Ironically, you may be totally unaware that your blood pressure is high. Apart from rare exceptions, there is no cure for high blood pressure. Taking anti hypertensive drugs lowers blood pressure, but when stopped, the blood pressure rises again. Magnetic treatment for high blood pressure Although there is no known cure for the majority of people suffering with high blood pressure, it is possible to treat it very successfully. Mainstream treatments include water tablets(diuretics) and high blood pressure tablets (anti hypertensives: beta blockers, ace inhibitors and calcium channel blockers). Magnetic therapy can also be used to treat high blood pressure by eliminating excess fluid in the body. When a person is first diagnosed with high blood pressure the first course of treatment a doctor will try is diuretics, the aim of water tablets is to eliminate fluid from the body this is a side effect of high blood pressure ( particularly the extremities: hands, feet and ankles). The excess fluid puts pressure in the heart and this in turn increases blood pressure. The primary aim of diuretics is to get rid of the extra fluid so that blood pressure is reduced, as the workload of the heart reduces. Magnetised water has a natural detoxification effect on the body, drinking at least 4 glasses a day will eliminate excess fluid (plus toxins stored in the fluid) from the body. This has the same effect a that of diuretics in that as the fluid is off loaded the workload of the heart is decreased and blood pressure is reduced. In addition to drinking magnetised water, blood pressure can also be reduced by wearing a magnetic bracelet or magnetic strap around the wrist. The radial artery is situated in the wrist and is one of the bodies main arteries. When a magnetic field is applied over the radial artery, the magnetism is rapidly absorbed and distributed around the whole body. Blood flow is improved around the whole body and the heart ,the whole circulatory system receives increased oxygen which in turn increases oxygenation of the organs and tissues, as a result of the improved oxygenation the heart does not have to pump so many times a minute to ensure enough oxygen is supplied to the body and this reduces the workload which will automatically reduce blood pressure. Although these 2 magnetic treatments for high blood pressure are extremely effective and will give results very quickly, it is important to remember that high blood pressure medication should not be stopped suddenly. If you use magnets to treat your high blood pressure ensure that your blood pressure is checked regularly by the GP or practice nurse. When your blood pressure has reduced your doctor will reduce your medication accordingly. HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION MUST ALWAYS BE REDUCED BY A DOCTOR. Don’t Lose the Fat: Why Some Diet Gurus May Have Steered You Wrong

Monday, September 10th, 2007

By Debbie Fontana It’s become a mantra. Fat is bad. At least, that’s what almost all the diet gurus say. But did you know that when we cut too much fat from our diets, we may be eliminating the very element we need to absorb the vitamins and nutrients that keep us healthy. That’s because certain vitamins, especially in fruits and vegetables, are “fat-soluble.” In other words, your body can’t absorb nutrients unless enough fat is present. So if you’re constantly eliminating the fat from your diet to cut calories or to follow the latest warnings, you may be getting far less healthful effects from your salads, other vegetables and fruits. In studies released in 2004 and again this year by Ohio State University, researchers found that the absorption of carotenoids from yellow, orange, and red vegetables is better when you eat them with some fat. Carotenoids are believed to have cancer-fighting properties. Here is a partial list of some fat-soluble compounds that may be absorbed better if you eat them with fat: 1. Beta Carotene. This can be found in foods such as cantaloupe and carrots. The researchers suggest eating salads with full-fat rather than low-fat or no-fat dressings. So if you put carrots in your salad, full-fat dressing may help you to absorb the nutrients. But with so many people unable to stay on strict low-fat or veggie diets, why not choose something that tastes a little better? For example, something that people in Pittsburgh once called a Boston cooler. You cut a cantaloupe in half (leave the rind on), clean the seeds out of the middle, and put a scoop of chocolate or vanilla ice cream in the hollow of the half-melon. Then place the half-melon in a bowl so it doesn’t fall over when you try to eat it. You eat the ice cream and the melon with a spoon. It’s about 250 calories, but it’s a great snack or dessert. You get to indulge with ice cream, but still get some good nutrients from the cantaloupe. It’s also filling. So you shouldn’t be as hungry as when you just nibble on a salad. And the best part is that the fat in the ice cream may enhance your body’s ability to absorb the fat-soluble compounds from the cantaloupe. (Although no one knows for sure at the moment.) 2. Lycopene. This is the red carotenoid found in watermelon, tomatoes and pink grapefruit. It’s also a potential cancer fighter. Researchers have shown that our bodies absorb the lycopene in tomatoes more efficiently as sauce, juice or ketchup. Here again, rather than always eating salads with full-fat dressing, why not try cheese ravioli with tomato sauce? It’s a tasty, satisfying dinner. And you may be enhancing your absorption of the lycopene in the tomato sauce with the cheese in the ravioli. 3. Vitamin E. This can be found in broccoli, mangoes, peanuts and spinach. Some research suggests that vitamin E can help your heart and possibly prevent blood clots. But the results aren’t conclusive yet. However, a recent German study with rats showed that eating trans fats actually slowed the absorption of vitamin E when compared to other types of fats. So this may get tricky. 4. Lutein. This antioxidant can be found in dark green, leafy vegetables like spinach and also in egg yolks. Lutein is supposed to help your skin and your eyes, particularly in reducing the risk of macular degeneration. I find it interesting that we’re allowed to eat eggs again when the food police vilified eggs for so many years - particularly egg yolks. Have we also gone too far in vilifying fat? So before you completely cut the fat from your diet, think about the nutrients you may be missing. Now I’m not saying we should eat only high-fat foods. But while it’s not healthy to go to extremes with high fat, it seems as though it’s not healthy to go to extremes with low fat, either. Maybe it isn’t only the fat that’s making us fat, but also the number of calories we consume. Some moderation in both areas just might do the trick. And I believe people are more likely to lose weight if they like the foods they eat. So talk to your doctor about whether you really need to cut so much fat from your diet. Or is it healthy to have a little ice cream or ravioli once in a while? His answer might surprise you. Liposuction, or Baggy Clothes?

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

By Charles Kassotis Lets face it ladies. There are very few of us that can happily go about living our day to day life without having to carry around with us some degree of pads of fat that have been laid down upon our thighs, buttocks, stomachs and in some cases, upper arms since the beginning of our estrogen secretion (which is responsible for our curved contours, to many for most of us) since the onset of puberty. With few exceptions, the rest of us are usually fighting an ongoing battle with our more than enough fatty deposits. We are on diets and workout programs which, granted go a long way for our fitness and health levels but, most of the time once we decide to lay of for a while we find in no time at all that we are usually back to square one. Also there is a vast majority of the female population, which no matter how much diet and exercise they do it is almost impossible for the local fatty deposits to leave their body. Thus, most women have come to terms that the easiest, quickest and most inexpensive way to deal with the problem is to camouflage it with clothes. But this has led most women to be ultimately forced to dress in a manner other than the one that they prefer. Fortunately though, in the past few years much progress has been made in the field of cosmetic surgery with regard to liposuction. The methods used to undertake liposuction nowadays are more than one. However, the most common method still used is an updated variation of the initial surgical one. Plastic surgeons, through new techniques have been able to combat even the most difficult cases of liposuctions. Outlined below is the method most commonly used in liposuction surgery today by plastic surgeons. The procedure is carried out by local anesthetic that is injected directly into the area to be treated which, at the same time causes the area to contract so as to reduce the amount of blood which is to be lost during the procedure. Small incisions are then made on the skin and a thin metallic tube is inserted which, with the help of a special pump sucks out the fat. The fat is then re-deposited in other areas of the body, which may need it. If after the liposuction there is skin leftover the procedure will be followed by a dermolipectomis (removal of excessive skin). After the procedure is completed the patient can resume his or her duties and lifestyle within one to two weeks. Exercise can be resumed one month after the liposuction procedure. For those of you who have the problem of extra fatty deposits but at the same time are squeamish about undergoing liposuction even under local anesthetic, stay tuned. The next topic on liposuction coming up soon deals with a very recent variation on liposuction known as lipoliquidation. Commercial Loan - Broker Or Bank?

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Martyn_Witt]Martyn Witt There is an estimated 5.2 million commercial properties within the UK. The commercial property market expanded by over 32 per cent during 1990-2000 (according to the new products started) compared with the previous decade, in itself a decade of exceptional growth. Bank lending for commercial property deals rose by a record 7.7 billion in the first quarter of 2005, according to data provided by the Bank of England, and property experts believe the bulk of the new lending was for investment purchases. There has also been a substantial rise in the number of investors looking to buy commercial properties to put into Self Invested Personal Pension Schemes. Property investment funds received a boost as of late last year after the Government announced plans to allow them to be included in an ISA (Individual Savings Account) wrapper. Savers will now be able to add investments, such as property funds and funds of funds, that have previously been restricted from being included in ISA’s because the asset class did not feature on a European standard of eligible investments and commercial property funds are seemingly the greatest beneficiary of the rule change. With this diversified interest in commercial property by investor, speculator and businesses alike the role of the broker has become a more integral part of the process. Increasing numbers of mortgage brokers have branched out into non regulated markets such as the commercial loan sector since Mortgage Day in late 2004 and subsequent involvement by the Financial Services Authority, interestingly 58 per cent of mortgage brokers claim profits are down since Mortgage Day. Commercial lending is now not the preserve of the high street banks who, in the past, have not only seemed to cherry pick but have also had a tendency to only lend to their existing business customers. The result was that there are now over 1,200 commercial lenders currently operating within the UK. The competitive market for commercial lending has also been confirmed by the rates available. There are also many other flexible options such as rolled up interest (No interest payments) for the first year to help with cash flow, start up finance, business expansion finance or even for finance on low yield investment properties. Lenders will typically lend up to 80 per cent loan to value but 100% is achievable with additional security. Three years audited accounts are also now not the normal requirement as self certification of income has also found its way into commercial lending. Adverse credit clients are now considered and in the majority of cases loans approved. However self certification and bad credit applicants can expect a loading on the rate of typically between 1 to 4 per cent. A cross section of business funding is available to retail businesses such as convenience stores, fast food outlets, specialist shops and supermarkets. Investment properties, professional practices such as accountants, doctors, vets and solicitors. Property development including speculative or pre-let for both commercial and residential. Offices and factories along with the health care sector including nursing homes, residential care and special needs homes. The leisure market has also been seen as the main stay for commercial lending over many years embracing hotels, guest houses, cafes, restaurants, wine bars and pubs. Although latterly pubs have often sought brewery loans as a traditional way of borrowing money in the trade often referred to as Advance of Discount (AOD) or “Write Off” loans, the interest rates seem favourable at significant discounts over the banks but barrelage discount is affected and the repayment terms are often shorter over 10 years. Lending on leasehold is also available up to 65 per cent on the security property (often the applicants main residence). With many businesses failing in the first year and business failure rates up 13 per cent in the first quarter of 2006 applicants must carefully consider whether they should be securing their main residence against the lease. To calculate monthly charges use one of our many custom built calculators. Commercial loan applications, for both single and joint applicants, are processed on our own dedicated secure server. Fast food lunches instead of home made lunches, and another is drinking beer. Now, I’m not saying you need to cut them out all together, just try and limit them. A way to help limit the habits is having better alternatives around. Like I said above, pack a lunch for work, if you have one made there will be no reason to go get fast food. Usually a lot of our unhealthy choices come from not being prepared and organized. This brings us to our next topic, be organized. No, this doesn’t mean that if you have a clean organized home you will lose weight. What I mean is that having stuff written down and getting certain things prepared will help you succeed. Have the health and fitness related things that you want accomplished written down on paper. If you are going to make lunches for yourself everyday in the week, make sure and be prepared enough to have all the food you will need to make those lunches. You are probably thinking, well this stuff is easy. The truth is that weight loss for a man is easy. In order to make it work though, you need to be consistent. Which takes us to our last point, stay committed and positive. You may not see results within a week, don’t get discouraged. If you stay committed and keep a positive mind the results will come. Use these simple concepts and you will find yourself on the road to good health and feeling better. There will be days where you feel you need junk food, or you think that eating healthy is too hard. Days like those are where you need to take control and follow through with what you want to accomplish and achieve. As said before, weight loss for a man is simple, stay positive and you will see the results you are looking for. The majority of all people over look the final thing I would like to share. Again, it is something very simple, but can also affect the weight loss for a man. Water! Try and drink your daily body requirements of water. Your body will thank you for it.
